FarmLab

When I first heard that there was actually a Farm in Los Angeles I shouted that it couldn't be real but low and behold it is. Farm Lab is an urban art museum made up of natural artwork created by plants. When it's founder Lauren Bon took over Farmlab she set out to save plants and life in Los Angeles.

In this picture of Another city is Possible there is no clear meaning on what it means, one can only take there own interpretation of what it means. I believe it means that another city is possible like we can create such a city that has more plant life more natural items. Los Angeles is so urban I doubt most of the civilians of Los Angeles even know of Farm Lab existence. The sign is basically saying to me that who says Los Angeles can't be like other cities that are known for their vivacious plant life. We all have the power to change it.

In this neon sign inside of Farmlab I got from this the same meaning as the first photo. We need to create more, so much we do in our daily lives is destroy plant life and other living things. We destroy trees we don't recycle. There's so many things we can do to limit our footprints on this planet while we inhabit it we take advantage of it. Not to say for every paper we use we need to plant a tree, but we need to realize the huge impact we have had on the earths existence up to this point.

Some pieces I really didn't get or really understand. I'm guess they wanted to appeal to people more. The planting in the car struck me as an odd thing to do. It just felt unnecessary, the car could of been used to make new things that the earth could use. Instead it is used as an art piece, I'm guessing its just a double edge sword when it comes to stuff like this though. I just think first off it should be about the environment and then a museum. All in all I thought Farmlab was really cool.
