Artist #12

Yoko Ono
Painting to Hammer a nail

For my twelfth artist research piece I am presenting Yoko Ono's Painting to Hammer a Nail. Yoko Ono I think more famously known for the driving force of what everyone believes ended The Beatles is also an artist. Simple in it's design the painting to hammer a nail is still a good piece. The piece is a hammer connected by chain to a woodblock that has nails throughout it. The piece showcases that why not hammer a hammer in. Funny to think because the nails are used to hold the hammer up in place on the woodblock. i'm just curious to why is it named "To Paint a hammer to a woodblock" as in where does the painting aspect occur?
